In 2002, Cameryn was diagnosed with a Supratentorial PNET Brain tumor. After a long and
fierce battle of bravely fighting this aggressive form of cancer, she became an Angel on November 18, 2003.
Cameryn and the rest of the Harris family continue to be an inspiration to all who know them,
to live life to the fullest and to find the greatest joy in even the smallest events in life.
Cameryn's Cause was lovingly created by the Harris Family as a way to honour Cameryn's courageous
life. Their purpose is to help ease the financial worries that come with having a child with a health crisis.
The society also provides information for families to access other means of financial and emotional support.
This is a new and one of a kind organization in Campbell River and a great way to harness the
generous spirit of the people of our community.
